Mauna Kea in the snow

The newspaper's front page carried this picture of Mauna Kea, the taller of the two big volcanos on the "Big Island" of Hawaii. It is located towards the north end of the island while Kona where we were is more central on the west coast. A strong cold front had come through causing thunderstorms and dropping lots of snow on both this mountain and Mauna Loa nearer our location.
